Congratulations to Jake and Laura Gillette on qualifying for the Boston Marathon at the 2014 Shawnee Marathon!


Our Mission:  The Shawnee Marathon 1/2 & Full Distances are focused on the participant first, taking into consideration the many positive attributes of the current long distance racing scene and adding what we believe encompasses many of the missing elements that keep events from being customer and family friendly. Our goal is to become a destination location that is based on community support. We’ve listened to many athletes worldwide and have been given the feedback we feel is necessary to satisfy the many wants and needs of the long distance athlete. Join us as world class racing comes to Southern Illinois!
