Dean West of West Financial Services in Harrisburg, IL., has been a running enthusiast since his college days at the University of Illinois. What started as an activity to lose fifteen pounds turned into an active, enjoyable lifestyle of four early morning runs per week with his closest friends.
Dean has completed ten marathons that would include New York City (5), Chicago (4). and the Marine Corps in Washington, D.C.
Running has been a very important part of his life as it provides for exercise, stress relief, good health, personal discipline, and socialization with friends. West attributes the self-discipline gained from marathon training as a vital factor in his professional success in the financial services business.
