We need volunteers and aid stations for the 2019 Shawnee Marathon

Are you an honest energetic individual, business or group looking to volunteer with a charitable cause and have fun doing so? The Shawnee Marathon is actively looking for individuals and organizations to provide great customer service to our race participants. Email us at [email protected] and we will get in touch with you regarding volunteer and aid station opportunities!

We do ask that if you commit to volunteering, please fulfill that commitment. Unfortunately, we have had volunteers not show up on race day, which creates a large burden on our runners and staff members.

Volunteers will receive:

Race shirt as long as the sizes are provided prior to the ordering deadline

Free entry into the following year’s Marathon, Half Marathon or 10K

Businesses will have their logo placed on the back of the race shirt

Volunteer job duties include, but not limited to:

Provide runners with water, gatorade, gels, snacks, candy, fruit, honey, raisins, peanut butter, or many other aid station options

Taking photographs of race participants throughout the course

Assist with handing out awards and/or finisher medals

Aid Station Locations for the 2019 Event:

We will post the aid station locations as these details become finalized.

We are a rural Marathon therefore, some of our aid stations can tend to be spread a little further than we prefer. Our goal is to offer an aid station every 2 miles, but this isn’t always practical. Please come prepared for all possibilities.
